The filter is constructed from Japanese famous brand optical glass that features 8 layers of anti-reflection coatings on each side(total 16 layers), making the filter anti-scratch, anti-static, oil and water-resistant. It does not affect coloration of the image and is ideal for pairing with other filters, unlike a variable ND filter which could cause “X” cross mark, vignetting, reflections or blur in the picture when using wide angle lenses at higher ND values, this ND1000 fixed 10-stop neutral density 3.0 filter does not have this kind of issue. Darkens entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required, suitable to record movement/image blur in subjects such as waterfalls, streams, waves, clouds or any fast moving subject. 1000x filter factor, providing a 10-stop exposure reduction which allows you to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.
